The Product
The ARB Labs ChipVue system utilizes discreetly positioned cameras within modules surrounding the chip tray to collect real-time player bet data. Two LCD displays which are tilted away from the players range of view offer live updates, and information to the dealer.
When ARB Labs entrusted us with this project, they provided a 3D-printed prototype with operational electronics. Our task was to create a manufacturing-ready housing assembly that met our client’s aesthetic and functional criteria.
DiMonte Group’s contributions:
- Creating a secure and reliable lid-locking mechanism.
- Developing an assembly sequence and efficient wire routing plan.
- Designing injection-molded housing and internal sheet metal brackets.
- Crafting an integrated lighting system free from light leakage or hot spots.
- Sketching multiple styling concepts for the client to choose from.
- Implementing ventilation and heat sink features to regulate electronics temperature.
- Incorporating features to redirect spilled liquids away from sensitive electrical components.
- Devising a precise mounting system for easy retrofitting onto tables, ensuring repeatable positioning.
