Responding to an urgent request from Prince Castle LLC, our team moved quickly from rough mockups to a production-ready commercial sausage slicer in under a month.
The process was hands-on and iterative from the start. Foam core prototypes were built early to evaluate blade geometries and dial in a profile that delivered a clean, consistent cut. Once the direction was locked, an initial CAD model was developed and translated into sheet metal prototypes for real-world validation.
From there, the design was refined through rapid build-test cycles, resolving details around form, manufacturability, and usability until the final configuration was ready for production.
A total of 1,400 units were built and deployed.
